The Fast Cleaner developer ("we," "us," or "our") provides the Fast Cleaner Android app (the "App"). This policy explains the information the App accesses on your device, the information we receive if you contact us, the purposes of that processing, and your choices.
The App has no Fast Cleaner account, sign-in, paid subscription, or cloud file synchronization operated by us. It includes Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Remote Config, and Google Mobile Ads with User Messaging Platform privacy choices. The App may display app-open, interstitial, and banner ads when enabled by its configuration and permitted by applicable privacy choices. Storage scanning, app-use analysis, and content comparison are performed locally. We do not receive your scan results or your files through those features.
After you acknowledge the introductory screen, Firebase Analytics may send stable page identifiers, navigation source and destination, entry and exit times, and foreground viewing duration to Google, together with SDK-generated app-instance, app, device, and interaction information. These measurements help us understand use of the App. Firebase Messaging and Remote Config use installation identifiers and related connection information to deliver messages and fetch configuration. The registered Firebase Installation ID (FID) is stored locally to support notification delivery; it is distinct from a legacy messaging token and is not sent to a separate backend operated by us. Background time is excluded from custom page duration. Analytics advertising-ID collection is disabled in the App configuration.
When advertising is enabled, Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, IP addresses, app interactions and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Applicable privacy messages and choices are presented through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads; where required, Ad privacy choices in Settings allows you to revisit those choices. Ad revenue measurement uses currency and revenue values from the SDK's paid-event callback, rather than information about your files. Google service processing is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
After you acknowledge the introductory screen, Analytics also measures stable feature actions, permission request outcomes, scan completion, confirmed deletion intent, verified cleanup counts, and next-day return. Event parameters exclude filenames, paths, content references and installed-app identities. Crashlytics uploads crash stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device and diagnostic information to Google to help resolve failures; we do not add file contents, file identifiers, app lists or custom exception-message logs to crash reports. SDK crash diagnostics may include exception messages. Automatic crash-report upload is disabled until the introductory screen is acknowledged; diagnostic reports may be stored on the device while upload is disabled and sent after it is enabled. Report delivery can occur on a later launch and is not guaranteed after force-stop.
Local processing does not mean the App accesses no personal information. Filenames, media, folder information, installed-app information, and usage records can be sensitive. Android backup, a document provider, an external viewing or sharing app, and email are separate data flows explained below.
When you grant the relevant access and use a scanning or review feature, the App reads the accessible items and available metadata. This can include:
The purposes are to show storage use, organize and search review results, display previews, compare content locally, perform the operation you confirm, and check its outcome. Similarity analysis derives visual characteristics from photos; duplicate comparisons can derive content fingerprints. These comparisons do not identify people, perform face recognition, or train an AI model.
Fast Cleaner does not upload media or document contents, thumbnails or content fingerprints to us or to an analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting service. Custom Analytics parameters and custom diagnostic logs exclude item names, paths and content references; automatically generated crash diagnostics have the limitations described in section 1. Local databases store scan metadata and operation records, rather than a backup copy of your original media. Content previews and analysis use the original items accessible through Android.
Access is limited by Android, the permissions you grant, and the provider. Shared media from another app may be visible, but the App does not read that app's private messages or private storage through this feature. Partial media access produces partial results.
When you enable Android Usage Access and use an app-analysis feature, the App queries Android for app information and usage and storage statistics. This includes visible app names and package identifiers, available icons, last recorded use times, and available app, data, and cache-size statistics.
Android can return package-level usage records for the queried period, currently up to the preceding 365 days where records are available. The App uses last-use information to prepare review results for the visible third-party launcher apps it can identify. The results are not a complete inventory of every app or a complete history of all activity.
These data support local storage review and suggestions about infrequently used apps. They are not sent to us, sold, used for advertising, or used to monitor a person remotely. The App does not read what you type or the contents of messages, accounts, or files inside other apps. It does not directly clear other apps' private data or caches.
You can refuse or turn off Usage Access in Android settings. App-analysis features that need it will become unavailable or limited; media and authorized-folder features have separate access requirements.
The App reads available device storage totals and free space to present storage information. The battery feature reads available system values such as battery level, charging status, charging source, temperature, voltage, current, estimated remaining charging time, and power-saver status. Missing system values may be unavailable. These readings are used locally for display, not for medical assessment, a battery-repair service, or remote device tracking.
The App uses system language and display settings and saves local preferences such as your theme, whether introductory screens or permission prompts have been shown, and references to folders you authorized. It also keeps scan timestamps, access-scope information, file classifications, and minimal operation information needed to display results and check interrupted operations. Local records can contain item references, names, paths, known sizes, selected targets, confirmation information, and operation outcomes.
These records are held in app-private storage on the device. We do not receive them through an App backend. Local cleaner features do not require advertising identifiers, IMEI or device serial numbers, and do not request location, contacts, camera or microphone permission. Google SDK identifier processing is described in section 1. Reading an existing audio file is different from recording through a microphone.
Photo and video access: On Android versions with separate media permissions, the App requests the relevant photo and video access for media review. Where Android supports selected-photo access, you may limit access to the items you select. Other items will be outside the scan scope.
Audio access: Used to find and review existing accessible audio files. It does not allow recording your voice.
Storage access on older Android versions: Android may use legacy storage read permissions and, on Android 8 or 9, write permission for the supported file-removal operations. The App still uses only the scope available through its supported features.
Folder access: Android's document picker lets you choose a folder and grant the access the provider offers. The App may retain that folder authorization so it can reopen it after restart. Selecting a folder does not give access to all device storage or every cloud account.
Usage Access: A separate Android setting used for the local app analysis described in section 3.
Notifications: The App offers local storage shortcut notifications and remote messages delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging. Android notification permission and channel settings control whether notifications are displayed. Notification access is not required for scanning, review, deletion, or app analysis. A remote-message link opens an allowed App page and does not authorize deletion. Enabling notification permission does not grant access to your media or app-use records. Delivery may be delayed or unavailable when offline, force-stopped, or restricted by the system.
You may refuse requests, limit media selection, change the chosen folder, or revoke permissions through Android settings. The App does not use All Files Access or an Accessibility Service to bypass those choices. Revocation limits future access; clearing existing local records is a separate action described in section 8.
Contact email: Choosing Contact us opens a draft in an external email app. The draft proposes the Fast Cleaner version, Android version, and device manufacturer and model. You may edit or remove those values, write your message, or discard the draft. Nothing is automatically sent to us. The App does not automatically attach your files, scan database, or diagnostic logs.
If you send the email, we receive your sender address, message, included diagnostics, any attachments you independently add, and ordinary email-delivery information supplied by the email service. We use these to answer the request, investigate the issue, and handle related privacy or security inquiries. Support is optional and is not required to use local features. Avoid sending unnecessary personal or sensitive information. If no email app is available, the App may copy our support address to the system clipboard so you can use it elsewhere.
External viewing: If you choose to open an item in another app, Android passes the item reference, file type, and access needed to read that item to the receiving app. That app can then access the item you opened and handles it under its own policy.
Sharing a result: If you choose the cleanup-summary sharing action, Android passes the summary text, including the displayed cleanup amount, to your chosen sharing app. This action does not attach the underlying files or a detailed file list.
Document providers: A chosen folder may be backed by a local or cloud document provider. Queries, reads, and deletion or Trash requests go through that provider. A cloud provider may access its servers, synchronize an operation, and process information under its own policy. Fast Cleaner does not operate that cloud service or promise that a provider operation is offline.
We do not give advertising networks or data brokers your local files, app list, or usage records. Google receives the Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging, Remote Config and, when used, advertising SDK information described in section 1. Advertising information may be processed for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention, subject to the applicable privacy choices described in section 1.
Information leaves the App through the Google SDK flows in section 1 and the specific actions and system services described in sections 6 and 9. External email, viewing, sharing, document-provider, and Android services handle the information involved in their respective flows. Their policies govern their independent processing.
We may disclose information actually held by us if required by a valid legal obligation or if lawfully necessary to address a security incident or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights. This does not give us remote access to data that remains solely on your device. We do not obtain local scan databases for these purposes.
Your original content: Files remain in their original location unless you confirm an operation. Permanent deletion may be irreversible. If you choose a supported system or provider Trash action, that system or provider determines how long the item remains and whether it can be restored. Fast Cleaner does not maintain a separate backup or private recycle bin.
Local preferences and folder references: Retained until changed, cleared by Android's app-storage controls, or removed with the App. Folder authorization may be retained across restarts until it is released or withdrawn by Android.
Local scan metadata: A completed scan may replace an earlier snapshot, and validation may remove outdated item entries. The current App has no universal automatic deletion deadline for all scan metadata. The seven-day freshness rule used for reusing a media scan is a validity rule, not a promise that every cached record is erased after seven days. Metadata may remain until replaced or cleared.
Local operation records: Used to check the outcomes of submitted or interrupted operations and removed when the relevant workflow clears them. Some records may remain until workflow cleanup or until you clear app storage. The App does not promise a fixed automatic expiry for every operation record.
On-device ad diagnostics: Limited records are kept in memory during the current App process and discarded when that process ends. They are not saved as local log files. Google SDK information processing is described in section 1.
Google service information: Analytics retention is governed by the project's configured Analytics settings and applicable Google service terms. Messaging and Remote Config installation identifiers follow their service retention and deletion mechanisms. Clearing local storage does not itself delete information already processed by Google. Contact [email protected] about requests concerning service information we control.
To remove the App's local databases and preferences, use Android Settings → Apps → Fast Cleaner → Storage, then the option usually labeled Clear storage or Clear data. Labels vary by device. Uninstalling the App also normally removes its app-private data from that device. This does not delete your original shared media or documents, restore previously deleted content, erase a support email already sent, or necessarily remove copies in system backup or another service.
Revoking a media permission or Usage Access does not itself erase cached records. We cannot remotely inspect or erase data that exists only in your local App storage. The App has no Fast Cleaner account to delete.
Support correspondence: Support messages are used for the purposes described in section 6. You may request deletion of correspondence held by us at [email protected]. We will handle requests under applicable law and explain any lawful reason that prevents full deletion. System backup copies and external-service copies are addressed in section 9 or by the relevant service.
Depending on your device, Android version, backup settings, and backup or transfer service, Android may include eligible app-private data in a system backup or a transfer to another device. This can include preferences and local databases containing scan metadata or operation records. The App's current configuration does not exclude all of these records from system backup.
These are platform backup or transfer services, not a Fast Cleaner cloud account or a scan-upload service operated by us. We do not receive access to the backup through the App. You can review backup and transfer controls in your device and account settings. Copies already held by those services follow their controls and retention rules and may be restored when you reinstall or move to another device.
This policy does not promise that all App-related information always remains on a single device. Clearing the App's local storage is different from deleting a system backup, a sent email, or data held by a document provider.
The App stores local databases and preferences within Android's app-private storage and relies on Android's access controls and permission system. We do not represent those databases as independently encrypted by Fast Cleaner. Use a device screen lock, keep the operating system updated, and grant access only to apps you trust.
The current App does not send automatic network requests containing scan or app-use information to us. Encryption and delivery of emails, cloud documents, and platform backups depend on the services used; we do not promise end-to-end encryption for every such flow.
We restrict support-information use to the purposes described in this policy. No storage system or communication service can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact [email protected] if you believe information handled by us has been exposed or misused.
You control permissions, the folders you authorize, what you choose to remove, whether you use external apps, and whether you send support correspondence. You may use the Android controls described above to limit access or clear local records.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information held by us, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing requires consent, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not undo processing already lawfully performed or a completed deletion.
Send requests to [email protected]. Identify the information or correspondence involved without sending unnecessary sensitive details. We may ask for proportionate verification, such as confirming control of the email address used for the correspondence. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, explain any lawful limitation, and provide any legally required review or appeal route. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where available under applicable law, you may complain to a competent privacy authority.
The App does not ask users for a birth date or create a user profile based on age. A parent or guardian who believes we received a child's personal information through support can contact [email protected]. We will review the request and delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law. A description of local processing is not a claim that the App has been approved for a child audience.
Core scanning and review run on your device. Google service information may be processed in Google's service locations as described in its terms and privacy information. Support correspondence is handled through the email services used to send and receive it. Those services may process information in locations that differ from yours. Any safeguards required by applicable law for that processing must apply; this policy does not itself provide consent for an otherwise unlawful international transfer. External email, document, viewing, sharing, and backup services determine their own processing locations.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or our practices. We will update the date and make the revised text available through the App. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required before materially different processing begins. An update is not permission to upload previously local information or to add advertising without the disclosures and choices required for that change.
